Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

In our large outdoor playground, children have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of nature play experiences using natural resources found within their environment. Children often extend their play by selecting branches, sticks, seed pods and other natural materials and incorporating them into different areas of their play. Connecting directly with nature supports children to develop a genuine connection with the natural environment, encouraging them to notice, explore and value the world around them. These open-ended experiences foster creativity, imagination and problem-solving while allowing children to extend their learning in meaningful and authentic ways.

It’s Child Protection Week and at Goodstart Safeguarding Children is everyone’s responsibility – all the time!
This week, many of our children worked alongside their trusted educators to identify their safe people — the trusted adults they can seek out when they need help, support or someone to talk to. Others created art masterpieces showcasing the places where they feel safe and exploring ways they can help others feel safe too.
Every child deserves to feel safe, heard and supported — and these are skills we nurture every day at Goodstart Kingaroy.

We planted something special in our centre — a tree that represents so much more than new growth.

Planted together by our educators and children when our centre reopened after the renovation works were completed, this tree is a symbol of the roots we have established within our community and the relationships that continue to grow with every child and family who walks through our doors.

We are proud to be more than a place for children to learn and play. We strive to be a pillar within our local community, building genuine connections with families, supporting children as they grow and creating a place where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

As this tree grows alongside our children, we hope it will serve as a lasting reminder of the community we have built together — and the many more families, friendships and memories still to come.
