Due to severe weather conditions from Tropical Cyclone Alfred, all courts and tribunals in the warning area between Gympie and the New South Wales border, extending west to Ipswich and Gatton, will be closed tomorrow Thursday 6 March and on Friday 7 March. For more information, visit: www.courts.qld.gov.au

As a result of these court registry closures, parties will be unable to file applications for domestic and family violence protection orders (DVO), including electronically.

Anyone needing to apply for an urgent DVO will only be able to do so by attending a police station. Call Policelink on 131 444 for details of your nearest 24-hour police station.

In an emergency, or if immediate assistance is required, always call Triple Zero (000).

Additionally, some Justice of the Peace (JP) signing sites will also be closed from Thursday 6 March. If you need to find a JP, visit: www.qld.gov.au/jps
