Last night we celebrated the launch of Issue 49(1) of the UNSW Law Journal!

We were delighted to have the Honourable Justice Craig Lenehan of the Federal Court of Australia deliver the keynote address on the theme ‘The Day After: Developing the Law following Landmark Events’. Our thanks go to Corrs Chambers Westgarth for hosting the event.

Congratulation to Issue Editor, Grace Leow, our contributing authors and our Editorial Board Members for their efforts in producing this Issue.

We would also like to specially thank Professor Rosalind Dixon, who is concluding her tenure as Faculty Advisor. The Journal is incredibly grateful for her many years of expertise and support and wishes her all the best.

DZY represents the High Court’s first opportunity to consider what is colloquially referred to as a ‘deed-reopening’ case, the offspring of legislation enacted by state and territory parliaments out of recommendations made by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
