After relocating to the city from a small country town in 1993, I commenced work as a receptionist in a Newcastle law firm.

I moved up through the ranks quickly to a legal secretary/conveyancing assistant. I then commenced studying externally through Southern Cross University. Once I finished my studies, I proudly became one of the first licenced conveyancers in Newcastle in 1998 and commenced working for, what was then, the largest conveyancing firm in New South Wales. I worked my way up to a branch manager where I gained a lot of experience for close to 10 years.
