🌀 Have you been impacted by Cyclone Alfred? 🌀
After a natural disaster, your safety comes first. Avoid any actions that could put you or others at risk. Seek medical, emotional, or other support if needed.
Only return to your property when local authorities say it is safe. Before entering, check that all utilities are working and safe to use.
Other tips:
🔵 Contact your insurance company as soon as possible to lodge a claim and get guidance on the process.
If it is unsafe to return home, ask your insurer if they can help with emergency accommodation costs.
🔵 If you need urgent financial assistance, let your insurer know – they may be able to fast track your claim or provide an advance payment (which will be deducted from your final claim amount).
🔵 Document all damage before cleaning up. Take photos and videos, and make a list of damaged items, including the brand, model, and serial number if possible. This will help support your insurance claim.
🔵 Speak to your insurer before you authorise any repairs or building work.
