Following last month's AGM, we're proud to welcome Adrian Kelly AM as REIT's State President.

Adrian brings decades of experience to the role. CEO and founder of View Real Estate, he has worked in Tasmania's real estate industry since 1990, and previously served as REIT President from 2011 to 2014. He has also served as President of the Real Estate Institute of Australia, sits on the Property Agents Board of Tasmania, and was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2025 for his service to the real estate sector.

We'd also like to thank outgoing President Russell Yaxley for his leadership and contribution to REIT and the industry as a whole. As Russell moves on to a new career direction, we wish him all the very best.

Personal safety in real estate isn't something we talk about enough, but it really should be.

Whether it's a property inspection, an open home, or a late-night call, agents can find themselves in unpredictable situations. The Agent Protect workshop is designed to change how our industry prepares for that.

Developed in collaboration with the APEX Personal Safety Roadshow, this comprehensive session covers practical self-defence, situational awareness, de-escalation techniques, and a dedicated trauma-informed segment for those who've experienced an incident firsthand.
