From work experience to part of the team!

As you may recall, Jack joined us in July for a week of work experience, and we were so impressed with his initiative, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm that we offered him a job.

He has returned for the school holidays to help us tackle those jobs that always seem to find their way to the bottom of the to-do list. Jack has been primarily helping our Office Junior, Maisie with archives, deliveries, mail and helped organise our dreaded sea of filing cabinets.

We are delighted to have him on board and are already planning more work for him during the summer holidays.

Well done, Jack! It’s fantastic to see your hard work and positive attitude paying off. We’re looking forward to seeing you continue to grow and develop your skills with us.

Owen has been with TFR Lawyers since 2021 working primarily with Zac Nicholson in the Estate Disputes team.

He takes a very measured approach in all that he does. Our Estate Administration and Estate Planning teams often call on him for his guidance and expertise.

Clients are represented by Owen in TASCAT and the Supreme Court of Tasmania where he provides a calm and reassuring manner.

When it comes to staff social events, Owen lightens the mood with his mischievous sense of humour.

Congratulations to Liv on being selected as part of the team who recently competed in the Baker McKenzie Women’s Moot Competition in Sydney.

Liv works as a legal assistant with TFR Lawyers while studying law at UTAS, and she is a wonderful member of our team. Liv is always willing to give things a go, take on new challenges, and bring her best to everything she does.

Congratulations to the team for making it to the semi-finals of the competition. We are incredibly proud of Liv!

We would like to wish Liv, Freya and Sophie all the best as they head away to compete in the Baker McKenzie Women’s Moot! The team has worked tirelessly in their preparation, and we hope they enjoy their experience!

Our Practice Manager, Sharri has been working in law firms for 13 years. She joined TFR Lawyers around 5 years ago as a Personal Assistant to our Director Zac Nicholson, then she made her way to Paralegal and finally to Manager. She is an integral and valued part of our team, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and a natural ability to connect with people. Her strong leadership and willingness to help are appreciated by clients and colleagues alike—and when it comes to keeping the firm running smoothly, there isn’t much she can’t or won’t do!

Sharri’s calm approach and genuine care for the firm are felt in the small things she does every day. Her past roles in the firm make her the perfect person to go to for help since she has seen it all.
