You are responsible for checking the conditions of the visa you apply for, even if your application is completed and submitted by someone else..

> not know about migration law
> give you incorrect advice or make false promises
> try to take advantage of your situation
> not lodge the application and simply take your money​

If someone promises a "100% guaranteed visa" or asks you to DM them for migration advice, think twice. There are no guaranteed visa outcomes, and bad advice can cost you your future in Australia.
Always make sure you're dealing with a registered migration agent or Australian legal practitioner.

It’s that simple.

If you’re charging people for immigration assistance in Australia without being a registered migration agent or an Australian legal practitioner, you are committing a serious criminal offence.

The penalties are severe. You could face up to 10 years’ imprisonment and significant financial penalties. And if you’re also a non-citizen, you risk detention and removal from Australia.

We are actively tracking visa applications and targeting people who facilitate visa fraud, including submitting false or non-genuine Protection visa applications.

A strong reminder for all visa applicants: migration fraud is taken seriously. When law enforcement, border protection and government agencies work together, fraudulent activities are identified and acted upon. Always provide genuine information and seek advice from registered professionals.

More than $580,000 has been forfeited to the Commonwealth as suspected proceeds of crime following an AFP-led investigation into an immigration visa fraud scheme linked to a Central Coast man, 61.

Thinking about applying for the Training visa (subclass 407)? There’s been an important change you need to know about.

👉 You must now have an approved nomination BEFORE you lodge your visa application.

Make sure your sponsor gets your nomination submitted and approved first.

If your sponsor is an Australian Commonwealth Government agency, a nomination is not required. However, your sponsor must be approved as a temporary activities sponsor before you lodge your visa application.
