QLD real estate myth:
The cooling-off period is real, but it’s often misunderstood.

In Queensland, most standard residential contracts have a 5-business-day cooling-off period, but it needs to be exercised properly and may come with a penalty of up to 0.25% of the purchase price.

And auctions are different there’s generally no cooling-off period if you buy under the hammer.
