🇦🇺 Visa Holders – Important Information
If you’re in Australia applying for a Partner Visa or certain other visa types and your relationship ends and there was family or domestic violence, you may still be able to continue your visa application.
Under Australian migration law, the family violence provisions allow eligible visa applicants to continue their pathway to permanent residency, even if the relationship has broken down as long as family violence has occurred.
✅ This applies regardless of gender or relationship type.
✅ Evidence and documentation are required to support your claim.
✅ You do not need to remain in an unsafe environment to keep your visa.
✅ These provisions also apply to other visa subclasses, not just Partner Visas. It also includes some other family, skilled and business visas. (Better to check if this applies to your specific visa.)
Your safety comes first.
If you’re affected or unsure of your visa options, our team can provide confidential, professional migration advice tailored to your situation.
