Whether you're a landlord or a tenant—these 3 things should be clear before you sign any lease.

1. Know every term in the document before you commit
2. Get everything agreed in writing—verbal promises don't hold up
3. Have your lease reviewed before you sign, not after

Swipe — this one's worth saving.

Most people don't read their full lease before signing. These 3 things are worth knowing — whether you're a tenant, a landlord, or a business owner.

1. Commercial leases can be complex — and the notice window is often shorter than you think. Miss the fine print, and you could be locked in to problems for years.

2. Everything is negotiable before you sign. Nothing is automatically fair.

3. Reviewing the lease costs less than fixing it later. Bad terms get expensive fast.

Have your lease reviewed before you sign — link in bio.

If you're buying property with someone, one question changes everything: joint tenancy or tenants in common?

Joint Tenancy: If one owner dies, the other automatically inherits the full property. No will needed. It transfers by law.

Tenants in Common: If one owner dies, their share goes to their estate —not to the surviving owner. Without a will, it could pass to people you've never met.

Most buyers aren't told the difference at settlement. Your solicitor should explain this before you sign — not after.

Swipe to understand the difference. Save this for anyone buying with a partner, friend, or investor.

A QLD family signed a fixed price build contract. The final bill was significantly higher. The overrun included a soil reclassification after testing, a retaining wall not in the base plans, electrical upgrades, and window selections above allowance.

All of it was in the contract they signed without having it reviewed.

The QBCC receives thousands of building complaints every single year. The average cost blowout on a QLD residential build due to variations is tens of thousands of dollars. A contract review costs a fraction of that. The math isn't hard.🤔
