Greg has refused to accept Queensland's State of Origin loss to New South Wales last week.

In what can only be described as a desperate attempt to overturn the result, sources say Greg has appointed himself as Queensland's newest marquee signing and is preparing to take the field for Game II.

When asked whether he was concerned about his age, fitness or lack of NRL experience, Greg reportedly responded, "None of those things stopped Queenslanders before."

While the authenticity of this photo remains highly questionable, Greg maintains it is genuine evidence that he has been called into the Maroons camp to help restore order and bring the shield back where it belongs.

The legal team at Macdonald & Michel has advised that there is currently no legislation preventing a lawyer from playing State of Origin, although there may be some concerns around recovery times the following morning.

Good luck Greg. Queensland is counting on you.

We certainly need to get a new photo but again, the office is going Maroon crazy ahead of tomorrow night’s State of Origin clash… although we’re pretty sure that’s only because of Greg. God help us all 🤣

At this point, supporting Queensland in the Macdonald & Michel office isn’t really optional anymore. Safe to say Greg has made it very clear that there’s absolutely no backing the Blues allowed around here.

The Origin banter has been in full swing all week, with plenty of confidence, a few bold predictions, and enough Maroon spirit to cover the whole office.

Now we just need Queensland to get the job done… otherwise Greg might need to work from home for a few days.

Our team at Macdonald & Michel Lawyers has spent considerable time reviewing what legal avenues may exist to prevent the Blues from winning Game One of State of Origin next week. ⚖️🏉

After careful consideration, we regret to advise there is currently:
• No injunction available for bad refereeing decisions
• No legal remedy for questionable forward passes
• And sadly, no legislation preventing NSW supporters from carrying on before the series is over

However, Queenslanders can take comfort in established precedent which confirms: Never write off Queensland.

One strange Queensland law fact is that in Queensland, if you find money or valuables and keep them without attempting to return them to the owner, you can actually be charged with stealing.

A lot of people assume “finders keepers” applies, but under Queensland law, if you dishonestly keep lost property when there’s a reasonable way to identify or locate the owner, it can amount to theft.

So technically… finding a wallet full of cash and deciding it’s your lucky day could become a police matter very quickly.
