We specialise in providing fixed fee legal services in Perth, Fremantle and other courts located south of the river. Unlike other law firms we are committed to being fixed fee lawyers. That means for most matters we do not charge by the minute or hour. This means that you will know exactly what our services will cost you up front. No surprises, no extras. Family Law Matters

Family law matters are generally charged on the basis of $385 / hour (including GST). We do offer some fixed price family law services including drafting of consent orders, uncontested divorce applications and drafting of parenting plans. 1st floor of the Fremantle Malls in the heart of Fremantle: suite 34, 27-35 William St Fremantle (next to the old Rosie O’Grady’s). We are close to Fremantle train station and many Transperth stops or parking is conveniently available across the road at Queensgate. Or find us on the wharf at the bottom of the Sebel 129/1 Marco Polo Drive, Mandurah. Just look for the yellow wall!

At Geoghegan Myers Legal we are passionate about assisting victims of domestic violence. Lately we have had a number of matters where the abused person has been the respondent in Family Violence Restraining Orders applications. In these cases it is a further method of abuse and control.

We are pleased to say that over the past few weeks we have managed to successfully resolve four of these matters either through realistic negotiations and today by having the FVRO cancelled after trial.

Another acquittal on a serious charge in the District Court today. Every appearance is a reminder of the difference we can make on a person’s life, as well as that of their family and friends. So blessed to have a job that allows us to enjoy the highs and not just the lows.

It has been a busy week with both of our Directors presenting at different professional development sessions, acquittals in a District Court trial, discontinuance of two serious offences, successful results in a couple of VRO matters and some impressive sentencing results!

We still have Friday to get through but are looking forward to the challenges of the next week already!
