If you own property with someone else, you may own it as joint tenants or tenants in common. And that distinction can matter significantly when it comes to your estate plan.

🤝With joint ownership, the principle of survivorship generally means the property passes automatically to the surviving joint owner.

So before putting someone’s name in your Will, ask yourself:
• Are they comfortable taking on the role?
• Are they organised and reliable?
• Will they be able to manage potentially difficult family dynamics?
