From 1 July 2023 student visa holders must comply with their visa condition- work up to 40 hours per fortnight while courses are in session.

Temporary relaxation of working hours for student visa holders !!!

Due to exceptional circumstances during the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to ensure the supply of critical services, the Department of Home Affairs and Australian Border Force will take a flexible approach to student visa holders working beyond their usual work limitations, but only in specified industries.

You can work for ​more than 40 hours a fortnight if you are:

- employed by an aged care Approved Provider or Commonwealth-funded aged care service provider with a RACS ID or a NAPS ID, before 8 September 20​20
- employed by a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme provider
- enrolled in a health care related course and you are supporting the health effort against COVID-19, as directed by health officials
- employed in the agriculture sector
- employed in the tourism and hospitality sector

Great news for Poland. Additional 1000 places for Work & Holiday Visa from October 2019 (it used to be 500 now 1500 per year).
Visa can be granted for one year with option to extend it for second and third year for candidates who undertake specific work in a regional area for prescribed time.

Department of Home Affairs is increasing Visa Application Charges for all visa subclasses by 5.4% from 1 July 2019.
The only exception is the Visitor Subclass 600.

Program reopened today with some additional places. Only available for the candidates under streams 'Working in Queensland', 'Masters' and 'PhD'. Queensland Skilled Occupation Lists have been updated.

NEWS PARTNER VISA
From 17 April 2019 partner visa applications require an approved sponsorship application prior to the visa application lodgement.
That means sponsoring partner has to apply first and be approved before partner visa can be applied for. Visa applicant cannot submit the visa application before sponsorship is approved, even if their current visa expires. Don’t wait till the last minute.

New 5-year sponsored parent visa
From 17 April 2019 Australian citizens, permanent residents and eligible NZ citizens will be able to apply for a sponsorship for their parents to get a visa for 3 or 5 years.
Visa applications are expected to be accepted from July 2019. Approved parents will be able to stay for 3 or 5 years at a time without departing.
Three year validity visa fee is $5000. Five year validity visa fee is $10,000
