At Western Women’s Legal Support, our Financial Counsellor doesn’ just help you manage debt, they advocate on your behalf.

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home, tonight and every night.

If you’re watching the game, think about how you're acting and the impact your behaviour can have on the people around you.

A study conducted by La Trobe University in 2018 using BOCSAR data revealed a 40.7% average increase in domestic violence in NSW on State of Origin game days.

Violence against women is never acceptable.

At Western Women’s Legal Support, we see firsthand how access to safe housing, legal assistance, and community support can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Supporting initiatives like the Sleepout reflects our commitment to advocacy, dignity, access to justice, and strengthening our local communities. Thanks to Club Dubbo and Connecting Community Services for raising awareness about this critical issue in our community.

🌟 COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT 🌟

We would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Rachael Robertson, Principal Solicitor at Western Women's Legal Support, for her support of the Club Dubbo CEO & Community Sleepout 2026.

Rachael is proudly standing in support of the Sleepout initiative, helping raise awareness of homelessness and housing insecurity and the importance of community-led responses for people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage.

Through her work in the legal sector, Rachael understands the real-life impact that housing insecurity can have on individuals and families, and the importance of ensuring access to support, dignity, and advocacy when it is needed most.

💬 “Everyone deserves access to safe housing and support when they are at their most vulnerable. As a legal professional, I see the real impact homelessness and housing insecurity has on individuals and families, and the importance of community-led responses.” – Rachael Robertson

đź’™ Thank you, Rachael, for your commitment to supporting a stronger and more compassionate community.

At Western Women's Legal Support, we’ve been working on a little side project and it’s something we’re REALLY passionate about.

Have you ever considered a legal career in regional NSW? … No? … You’re not alone!

Many of us grew up or studied in capital cities and always imagined that’s where our legal careers would be. Big city firms can seem glamorous, but they’re not the only path.

What if you could build your career somewhere like Dubbo?

In a regional practice, you don’t just observe - you’re involved. You meet real clients, work on meaningful matters, and see firsthand the impact your work has on people’s lives. It’s law in its most human form.

We believe regional practice offers something truly special: connection, purpose, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in your community.

We’re passionate about encouraging more people to explore these pathways and consider the value of a legal career outside the city.

Stay tuned and let us convince you when we launch “Dubbo Delivers: Real Law in Regional NSW”. A 3 part video series, funded by Dubbo Regional Council exploring all the positive reasons to consider a career in the country.
