Holmes List The Holmes List was first established in 1992. It caters to nearly 200 Counsel. It is now considered Paul Holmes prefers to keep the List restricted in size.

It is now considered one of the pre-eminent Lists of Counsel at the Victorian Bar. We provide administrative support to a select group of Barristers and to all Solicitors. Since inception the List has developed an enviable reputation for providing a superior quality service by taking the time to know each and every Barrister’s needs, requirements, interests and areas of expertise. h Clerk to better service the Barristers on the List. In turn, Paul believes a smaller List can further enhance Counsel’s chances of a successful career. The Barristers on Holmes List vary in seniority from brand new Readers to Counsel with over 50 years call at the Bar. The List accommodates almost every area of practice. It is particularly renowned for its strength in Crime, Family Law, Occupational Health and Safety, Administrative and Civil Law. Inclusion on one of the Victorian Bar’s more progressive Lists is by application and interview.
