Meet our newest team member at Hubber Legal!

We’re excited to welcome Sophie Upperton to the Hubber Legal family! Inspired by a passion for criminal law and human rights, Sophie began her work in this area after completing an internship at the Monash University Anti-Death Penalty Clinic.

Drawn to Hubber Legal for our commitment to strong advocacy, Sophie enjoys taking on contested matters and trials, bringing her calm, prepared, and thorough approach to every legal challenge. She prides herself on asking the right questions, researching thoroughly, and collaborating with experts to find the best solutions.

Sophie is originally from Victoria, and has passed the Victorian Bar Exam. She appears frequently in both the Local and Supreme Courts, and has appeared both led and unled in criminal trials.

Outside the office, Sophie’s main passions include animal welfare, and she loves exploring the outdoors on horseback, or enjoying a G&T while watching a Darwin sunset.
