Do you already have an Enduring Guardian in place?

Recent changes in NSW mean it may be a good time to check exactly what decisions the person you’ve chosen is legally able to make for you if you’re no longer able to make certain decisions yourself.

The changes are particularly relevant to decisions about care in situations where a person’s movement or choices may need to be restricted for their safety or the safety of others, including in aged care. An existing Enduring Guardianship is not automatically invalid because of the changes. However, your Enduring Guardian may not have authority to make certain decisions unless that authority is specifically included in your document.
