🏆 Meet our Employee of the Year, Dione! 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Dione, who has been named Lake Group Strata’s Employee of the Year! 🎉

Dione brings so much to our team — through her hard work, dedication, and the care she shows to both her colleagues and our clients. Her willingness to step up, support those around her and consistently give her best makes her a very deserving recipient of this award.

We asked Dione a few questions about her time at Lake Group Strata, what she enjoys most about her role and, of course, how it feels to take out Employee of the Year! 👏

• What did it mean to you to be named Employee of the Year?

Being named Employee of the Year was a huge honour. I know I’ve had a big year, but haven’t we all! To be recognised and trusted by the three Directors means so much, especially when most of the time I honestly feel like I’m just doing my job.

• What’s been your proudest moment or achievement at Lake Group Strata so far?

I think I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown since joining Lake Group Strata. I started out as a Strata Manager, which pushed me well outside my comfort zone — and I don’t think I’ve stopped being pushed since! That particular role wasn’t for me (it’s a tough gig!), but I’ve always had a drive to improve things around me and find better ways of doing things. I’ve been encouraged and supported to take on new opportunities, and every role has given me a different perspective and helped me build a well-rounded understanding of the business as a whole.

• What’s one thing you’ve learned from your colleagues that has helped you grow?

Taking on a leadership role has probably been my biggest learning curve. I’ve learned so much from colleagues, my team and our leadership team — particularly the value of trusting each other, being open to a different perspective and taking the time to reflect. Whether it’s been coaching me through an unfamiliar situation or helping me look at something differently, having people around me who are willing to support and challenge me has definitely helped me grow.

• And the important question… where is the Employee of the Year trophy living now? 🏆

It’s proudly on display at work! We’ve created a bookcase where we can display our awards from this year and years past. I like to think it’s a reminder of how Lake Group celebrates its people — whether it’s a Highly Commended certificate or a major award. I have many friends outside of work who work just as hard without necessarily having that recognition, so I think it’s pretty special that Lake Group takes the time to acknowledge its people.

Decades of experience. One incredible team 💙

These photos may be 16 years apart, but they’re a reminder of something we’re incredibly proud of.

Our wonderful Jessica Bailey is celebrating an incredible 18 years with Lake Group Strata, alongside our Director, Brad Gribble, who has been here for 23 years.

During her 18 years with us, Jess has brought plenty of laughs, warmth, and an amazing amount of knowledge to Lake Group, and she continues to do so every day. We’re so grateful for everything she does and for the genuine care she shows to our team and the communities we support.
