As the year draws to a close, we are proud to publish our Annual Report for FY25. Featuring the beautiful artwork of Stacey, which we have licenced through The Torch, the report contains many highlights in what has been an extraordinary year for our service. A huge thank you to the many supporters who have helped us achieve so much, and to all our clients for putting their trust in us.

We’re excited to share the launch of the Women’s Housing Alliance’s new website and refreshed branding.

The Women’s Housing Alliance (WHA) is a collective of feminist organisations working together to advocate for a future where all women, trans and gender diverse people and their families have safe, secure and affordable housing.

While the look may be new, our commitment remains unchanged. Our new website reflects the work we’ve been doing to strengthen gender-informed responses to housing insecurity and influence the structural change needed to prevent gendered homelessness.

With renewed momentum heading into 2026, WHA will continue driving systemic advocacy, elevating lived-experience voices and championing the housing solutions needed across Victoria.

We’d love you to explore our new website and share with your networks to help amplify the important work of the Alliance.

Our children deserve futures, not cages and life sentences. But the Allan Government has rushed through new laws which cause lifelong harm to children as young as 14, and funnel more First Nations children into the criminal legal system.

The Allan Government has admitted that these new laws are not in the best interests for children and are incompatible with Victoria's Charter of Human Rights.

If the Allan Government wants to support children and community safety, they must listen to the evidence and invest in housing, healthcare and community-led programs which help our children and strengthen our communities.

We stand with Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service - VALS in condemning the government's regressive "adult crime, adult time" policy.

"This is a brutal step backwards that will hit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children hardest.

In Victoria, Aboriginal young people are 10 times more likely to be incarcerated than other young people. Aboriginal women are 17 times more likely to be incarcerated than other women."
