Our sincere thanks to the Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC) for hosting us at its Brisbane and Melbourne Annual Dinners on 8 and 23 September. We greatly value our close collaboration with ALABC and its commitment to bringing Australia and Mexico closer together through stronger business ties and greater economic cooperation.
We also appreciate the ALABC Board meeting with the Delegation from Nuevo León, Mexico. This encounter helped strengthen connections, exchange perspectives and explore ways to deepen business relationships between Mexico and Australia. We are grateful to the Board members for their time and openness to dialogue.
We look forward to continuing our work with ALABC to unlock new trade and investment opportunities, foster greater understanding and further strengthen the ties between our two countries! 🇲🇽🇦🇺

Our sincere thanks to Business NSW for welcoming the official delegation from Nuevo León, Mexico, and providing an opportunity to exchange perspectives with its leadership. The meeting helped bring the business community’s experience into the delegation’s exploration of Australia’s labour and economic landscape.
We especially thank Daniel Hunter, Paula Martin, Sam Moreton, Daniel Macias, and the participating executive members for their time and hospitality. We value this dialogue between business representatives from Mexico and Australia and the opportunity to build closer connections around employment, enterprise and shared prosperity.

Thank you to the NSW People and Workforce Group within the NSW Premier’s Department for meeting with the official delegation of the state of Nuevo León, Mexico, and sharing perspectives on Australia’s and New South Wales’s labour laws and regulations. This exchange offered a valuable opportunity to compare approaches to labour relations across our two G20 economies.
We are particularly grateful to Ian Galvin, Jason Tamsett, Toni Minovski, Clarence Brown, and Kurt Harisson for making this encounter possible, sharing their expertise and engaging with the delegation. Exchanges of this kind help deepen mutual understanding and strengthen the connections between Mexico and Australia in support of fair and effective labour relations.

Many thanks to Victoria Vick, Executive Director of Global Partnerships and Strategy, Sarah Ravesteyn, Global Partnerships & Strategy Manager, and Dr Jorge Ochoa, Co-Director of the Building and Urban Informatics Lab at Adelaide University, for hosting us and for a very productive discussion on opportunities to strengthen academic and scientific collaboration with Mexico.
The demonstrations of virtual reality, augmented reality and digital twins by graduate researchers and technical staff at the Lab were particularly impressive! looks forward to following up and turning these conversations into concrete collaborative projects. 🇲🇽🇦🇺

My sincere thanks to Mr Neil O’Sullivan, CEO of NOJA Power, for hosting me at the company’s headquarters in Brisbane. It was a pleasure to visit their facilities and learn more about the development and manufacturing of NOJA Power’s innovative products, which are also produced at their operations in Irapuato, Mexico.
