Women Lawyers Association of the Australian Capital Territory A not-for-profit organisation providing networking for and promotion of the interests of women lawyers in the ACT.

The Women Lawyers Association of the ACT Inc (WLA ACT) is a not-for-profit organisation providing networking for and promotion of the interests of women lawyers in the ACT. The objects of WLA ACT are to:

*promote knowledge of, and access to, the law and legal services;
*provide a forum for the exchange of information and opinions on aspects of the law and its practice among women and men concerne

d in, affected by, or interested in the law and its practice;
*publish, and encourage the publication of papers, articles and commentaries about the law;
*promote lectures, seminars and conferences about the law;
*co-operate with academic institutions and with the other persons interested in the law in promoting the objects mentioned above; and
*make and disseminate reports commentaries and submissions in furtherance of the above-mentioned objects. The WLA ACT is active across a range of fronts including policy development, hosting networking events, CPD breakfast seminars and our annual Junior Lawyers Pay and Conditions Survey.
