Our extensive experience in the Courtroom has taught us that there are better ways to resolve issues that arise out of separation. This led to our specialisation in collaborative law.

Huge news from FoJo! From Monday 18 May 2026, we will also be operating out of Melbourne with the commencement of Partner and Family Law Accredited Specialist, Deborah Wilson. Deb comes to us with over 20 years' experience in all areas of family law with a special interest in international matters and litigation (we'll make a Collaborator out of her yet!) Like Brooke and Averil and many of our team, Deb is a country girl (from the middle of QLD originally) and brings country values along with the grit and compassion that underpin our firm. She can also sing and play guitar :) Final fun fact - Averil has known Deb for over 20 years and Deb moved her admission in the Victorian Supreme Court eons ago. Pictured here with the late his Honour Federal Magistrate Michael Connolly to whom Deb and Averil were Associates in the early 2000's.

Deb will be operating out of both our Melbourne and Canberra offices, sharing her expertise for the benefit of all of our clients and staff.

Raising young women up in sport is dear to our hearts, and being country gal ourselves, Brooke and I are keen to support young women who don’t always get the same opportunities as the city kids.
