A very special day today as our Associate Lynette Lyons celebrates 10 years with Bottoms English Lawyers! 💐🍾

Lyn joined us as a legal secretary in 2015 and has been an asset to the firm ever since, not only in her capacity as a powerhouse lawyer but also as our in-house comedian, snack queen and ray of sunshine.

On this important and reflective day, we pay our respect to the First Nations men and women who have protected Country since time immemorial and whose contributions to the safety and prosperity of our nation often go untold.

This morning, our wonderful secretary Lachesis Esperance was admitted as a Solicitor in the Cairns Supreme Court, with our Special Counsel Jerry Tucker moving her admission.

Our very proud team attended the ceremony to support Lachesis and to celebrate such a special moment 💙

We wish Lachesis the best of luck in her future endeavours, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for her!

MEET THE TEAM | LYNETTE LYONS - Associate

Born and bred in FNQ, Lynette’s legal journey started in 2007 in Innisfail, working as an office junior and quickly moving up to a full-time secretary role. Lynette joined us at Bottoms English Lawyers in 2015 as a legal secretary, and eventually her sharp mind and determination led her to pursue a Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University, graduating with Honours in 2021.

Now a practising solicitor, Lynette's efficiency and analytical skills make her a true asset to the team. Known for her quick wit and love for large sandwiches, miniature collections, and candy (always stocked at her desk!), Lynette is a beloved and valued presence at Bottoms English Lawyers.

A few members of our team attended the Far North Queensland Law Association Inc. International Women’s Day Breakfast this morning at the Benson Hotel, where our Special Counsel Jerry Tucker spoke as a guest panel member alongside Magistrate Kellie Walker and Rhiannon Saunders of WGC Lawyers.

It was a beautiful morning celebrating women and engaging with the local profession 🩷
