The Government has announced the new DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) signed between the Commonwealth and the Cairns Chamber of Commerce !! This is exciting news for employers wanting to sponsor skilled and semi skilled overseas workers where there is a proven local labor shortage.
The agreement covers several industries including tourism, hospitality, agriculture, shipping and health.
The Far North Queensland DAMA covers the Cassowary Coast, Tablelands, Mareeba, Cairns and Douglas Shire.
