We've been quite quiet on our socials lately. While busily working with our clients we've also been busy behind the scenes working on new projects to expand our services and cannot wait to share these!

In the meantime, check out our latest blog and have a look at our overhauled website!

An article to highlight the importance of checking your superannuation insurance regularly.

Today was International Nurses Day. Held on 12 May each year as this was Florence Nightingale's birth date.

So often in our line of work, we talk about the doctors who treat our patients, or the allied health professionals who assist in rehabilitation but nurses are silent. They play such an important part in our client's recovery and are often overlooked.

I was lucky enough to spend a fair chunk of today at the hospital and got to chat to some our amazing nursing staff and hear their stories. Their passion for their jobs is evident.

I couldn't be a nurse, I'm the first to put my hand up and say I would not be suited to the job (being extremely squeamish is a big factor!). My utmost respect goes out to all nurses along with a massive "Thank you" for being you and taking on such a hard, but super important and necessary job ❤️

Welcoming "Willow", our "Happiness Officer" and "Barketing Assistant".
Apparently, studies have demonstrated that office pets improve morale and productivity and we certainly agree with that!
Willow will be spending some time with us whilst she's a pup so you may be lucky to get some pup snuggles when you come and visit 😊

Oops...

I wouldn't like to be in the position of the employer or the employee here.... "serious misconduct"? probably not.... but you do have to wonder at what point this security officer thought this was a good idea 🤦‍♀️

The article doesn't hint at what consequences may have been inflicted upon the bored security officer, but this story raises some issues as to not only what is "logically acceptable" but what specific directions are provided (or not provided as the case may be) to staff.

It was only his first day on the job, but somehow a security guard managed to become so bored he found himself doodling on a $1.4 million painting.

New on the blog!!

I've spoken to people and seen so many discussions on this since the updated mask mandates were announced (along with so many divided opinions 😔)

Yes, we are now in a state of "let it rip", we are being told it is inevitable that we will be exposed, but as a lot of us spend an awful lot of our time in our workplaces, we need to feel safe and supported.

Read for more information- and don't forget we are only a phone call away if you need to discuss any workplace or health and safety issues.

I've been speaking to more and more people recently who hold concerns for their own safety at work because colleagues or even the employers are not complying with directions. After almost two years...

Very early in my career, I was involved in a case like this and whilst it's hard to believe that this still happens, at the same time it's not surprising.

Workplace bullying takes many forms, and has certainly escalated over the years. Employers have a duty to ensure that they are providing a safe workplace. This means safe from physical and mental harm. In certain circumstances, the "workplace" will extend to social functions too.

A young apprentice who was slapped while being hung upside down by his colleagues at a Christmas party is taking the company to court.

With Summer fast approaching, it's time to think about water safety.

294 people drowned in Australian waterways in the 2021 financial year.

So many of these incidents are preventable, whether it be supervision of children, safe pool fencing, or just being smart around the water. The increases on the year before are phenomenal - and not in a good way.

Have fun, stay safe.
