Did you know that as of 1 July 2026, the laws have changed around anti-money laundering, which means solicitors, accountants and real estate agents now need to collect more information from clients about their identity, and their source of funds/wealth when entering into real estate sales or purchases (and some other types of matters).

So if we or your agent ask you for certain ID documents, or bank statements, tax returns, etc, before progressing your matter, please know that we are doing this to comply with the obligations placed on us by government around anti-money laundering and counter terrorism - not because we’re nosy.
