The new AML/CTF requirements and what they mean for you when buying or selling property in Australia.

From 1 July 2026, the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terroism Financing Act 2006 changed, introducing new identity verification requirements for property transactions that Australian law firms must follow before we provide services to you.
