🏡 Exciting News for First Home Buyers! 🏡

The State Government has just announced changes to stamp duty, and here are the main points:

- **First Home stamp duty exemption threshold** has increased the maximum property price to **$700k** (with a discount/phase-out up to $800k)
- **First Home Vacant Land stamp duty exemption threshold** has increased to a maximum land price of **$350k** (with a discount/phase-out up to $500k)

These new thresholds apply to contracts dated on or after **9 June 2024**. Contracts entered into earlier will have the previous thresholds applied.

💰 **Example of the savings for first home buyers:**
Bundaberg couple Eloise and Robert have purchased a house for $667,252 in Branyan.

- **Previous duty:** $15,879
- **New duty:** $0
- **Saving of:** $15,879

This is fantastic news for anyone looking to buy their first home! 🎉
