When parents separate, one of the biggest concerns is where the children will live. Many families wonder: *Can my child choose which parent to live with?* The answer isn’t straightforward. The Family Court considers a child’s maturity, understanding of the situation, and whether their decision is truly their own.

If a child isn’t mature enough to decide, the Court may step in with a family counsellor or therapist to assess what’s best. In some cases, an Independent Children’s Lawyer is appointed to represent the child’s interests - especially in complex situations like abuse or estrangement.

What is Mediation?

Even with the rainy weather, our Christmas party was a wonderful night.

The food and drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was full of energy.

It was a great opportunity for our Springfield team to reconnect and enjoy each other's company while celebrating a year of hard work and achievement.
