If you think the law is stupid then you should check your purchase contract immediately if you are in the north Qld area and are a buyer …check the usual REIQ clause in your contract to buy and note that the risk often passes on a purchase to the buyer the first day after contract date - get covered bc no one likes dealing with an insurance fight as to who is responsible for loss when you haven’t even settled
