Before we begin there is one trick that this caravan/tiny house has that no other home away from home has. Whilst our little house on wheels looks like a glamorous caravan/tiny house it is actually completely detachable from the trailer. This tiny house is secured to a 2800 kg car trailer. If you so wished the tiny house could be separated from the trailer and installed on stumps in a backyard garden or in a beautiful outlook on a farm. The tiny house was actually built in a shed and then dragged onto the car trailer on heavy duty casters before being bolted in position on the trailer. Removing the bolts, reinstalling the casters and disconnecting the plumbing from under the trailer allows you to completely remove the whole tiny house to a new location. For us however this has been a very robust go anywhere caravan/wagon/tiny house that has enabled us to visit many hipcamp locations throughout Queensland and New South Wales.
When entering the tiny house through its unique curved door people always comment on the bespoke kitchen with its glassy Black & Gold epoxy bench tops and leadlights. They are also astounded at the amount of storage throughout the kitchen and bedroom area. The kitchen incorporates a beautiful black stainless steel sink with unique copper taps. A comparatively large fridge/freezer that works incredibly well even on the hottest days. Ample power points throughout the kitchen for all appliances eg. toaster, hot water dispenser, microwave, air fryer etc.
Whilst walking through the kitchen they notice the unique curved wall and the Cedar louvred bathroom door. Further investigation leads you into a spacious shower with pressed metal wall linings and unique copper tapware. Directly outside the shower is a unique vanity basin and separate toilet area. Yes, the toilet is completely separate from the shower area. No wet toilet seat.
After walking from the bathroom back through the kitchen they admire the beautiful foldout tabletop with original artwork by local artist and comfortable seating, glancing up at the beautiful, curved timber and fabric ceilings.
With ample windows and good cross ventilation, the tiny house always remains nice and cool. It is also heavily insulated throughout the ceiling and the walls. It is at this point most people sit down in the lounge area and say “hang on you don't have a bed, where do you sleep?”
This is where the show really begins. With the flick of a tiny switch the back wall of the tiny house magically rises and then folds down to become a double bed. When you no longer need the bed simply flick the switch the bed rises folds back to the wall and carefully lowers back down into position. The bed has been designed so that it is not obtrusive and doesn't even look like a bed when it is concealed it simply looks like the back wall of the tiny house.
