Shine Lawyers is currently investigating a claim involving a motor vehicle v pedestrian hit and run accident alleged to have taken place on Crawford Street between Clayton Street and Cramb Street, Richmond, Queensland, at about 10:15pm, on 14 February 2026.

The accident involved a Landcruiser Ute that collided with a pedestrian. If you witnessed the accident or have any dashcam footage from around the time of the incident, we would like to speak with you confidentially about our investigation.

Melbourne mum Samah Issa has shared her family's harrowing health story with 9 News after she says her son was left with a devastating hand injury following a routine medical procedure at Northern Hospital.

Her son, now 14, fell onto a crochet hook in March, 2024, impaling his hand.

He presented at the emergency department where the hook was removed without permanent damage.

But a routine wash of the wound left him in excruciating pain after his wound was allegedly washed out with alcoholic chlorhexidine, a 70 per cent alcohol substance used to disinfect skin before surgery.

Ms Issa said her son endured multiple surgeries and weeks in hospital as a result and has been left with long-lasting impacts on his quality of life.

Our Victorian-based Deputy Head of Medical Law, Daniel Opare, said the pain would've been "unimaginable" for Samah's son.

Ms Issa has turned to Shine to assist her as her family takes action against Northern Health over the incident.

Shine Lawyers is currently investigating a claim involving a motor vehicle and e-bike accident alleged to have taken place near a roundabout on Hastings Street, after turning from Tenterden Street, Botany, New South Wales, on 5 April 2026.

The accident involved an unidentified vehicle that collided with an e-bike and rider. If you witnessed the accident, have any information on the vehicle or have any dashcam footage from around the time of the incident, we would like to speak with you confidentially about our investigation.
