With people currently overseas watching the Rugby World Cup in France - its time for some weird laws of the world. Did you know that in France - it is illegal for men of any age, to wear baggy board shorts or loose swimming trunks, to the beach?
So if you want go swimming there - you'd better pack your budgie smugglers (and make sure they are tight). It's all about hygiene apparently.
The 1903 law states that loose swimwear can be unhygienic and dirty the water. Not sure about you, but I'd take dirty water any day.

And on topic of pool wear regulation - make sure the pool is certified in your next property conveyance. RHR Legal can certainly help with that.

Be smart and get a BFA (Binding Financial Agreement) ASAP or there might be TIP (Trouble In Paradise).

RHR Legal Home Owner Tip #1 - When buying your new home consider a special condition in the contract that the seller must professionally clean the property before settlement. Emphasis on 'professionally'. Some people's idea of 'clean' and yours may be very different. The REIQ contract does not require the seller to leave the property clean. Who knew? With this special condition you can walk into your new home, don your white gloves and go crazy on the skirting boards.

Postcards from London taken by RHR partner, Greg Rowell. The weather was perfect, the cricket well played & it appears the 'Hooray Henry's' in the Long Room behaved themselves. The Lords 'away' dressing room photo is included here for the cricket tragics. London itself was very expensive and the Rolls Royce was not Greg's to drive. We look forward to seeing Greg back in Brisbane this week driving the...Ford.

London is calling for RHR Legal partner, Greg Rowell. Greg is there this week in his role as a Cricket Australia director to support the Australian Ashes team. It's a short trip, as RHR is never far from his mind. Let's hope he navigates the 85 year old "Hooray Henry's" in the Long Room. Stay tuned for an update...

Meet Sara…

After graduating with a diploma in languages from Italy in 2018, Sara moved to the Gold Coast to study a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree at Southern Cross University, and she is due to graduate in 2023. Sara has recently joined RHR Legal after working closely with Greg Rowell at RowelLegal for a year. She is a Paralegal, assisting across all divisions within RHR Legal with a particular focus on Estate Planning and Commercial Law. Sara is particularly interested in Corporations Law and Insolvency and aspires to practice in those areas in the future.

When not at RHR Legal, Sara can be found enjoying live music, keeping active, and gardening.

Joel Robbins is a graduate solicitor with a double degree in commerce and laws. He has recently been admitted to the profession and even more recently joined RHR Legal after moving from Toowoomba. He is interested in working in a variety of legal fields to further his experience and for a chance to give back to the community.

Meet Danielle...

Danielle has worked in lots of different areas of law in the 20 years since she became a lawyer including technology and in government but she has come full circle back to family law where she started. Her interest is in supporting clients to navigate their separation respectfully. That means being clear about the legal options, the practicalities of living in a separated family and helping clients make decisions that align with what they want things to look like in the future.
