Bruce Thomas (pre-eminent), Kerrie Jackson (recommended) and Kesley Lancaster (recommended) were all named as Leading WorkCover (Defendant) Lawyers, with Bruce additionally being named as a Leading Dust Disease Lawyer.

BTLawyers were also placed in the first tier for Leading Workers Compensation Law firms in QLD for 2025.

Yesterday, BTL celebrated as Jessica Nicholas was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland. Jess’ admission was moved by Director, Kerrie Jackson.

Jess has been working closely with Kerrie since December 2023, initially as a paralegal and later as a graduate. Jess will continue her career with BTL as a solicitor.

We congratulate Jess on her significant achievement and welcome her to the profession.

Firstly we congratulate Conor Gillam on his appointment to Senior Associate effective 1 July and secondly we congratulate long standing BTL employee Caroline Garritty who celebrated her 20 year anniversary with us earlier this month.

BTLawyers welcomes in the New Year together with 3 new law graduates!

Congratulations to Eliza Hickey, Jessica Nicholas and Caitlin Elwood (pictured L to R) who have completed their studies and graduated their Bachelors of Law.

They now commence the next stage of their legal careers at BTL in graduate roles whilst undertaking their PLT.

Earlier this month, BTLawyers transitioned three of our law students into paralegal roles.

Caitlin Elwood (pictured right), Jessica Nicholas (pictured centre) and Madison McCall (pictured left) have all hit the ground running in their new roles and teams.

All at varying stages of their degrees, these students are setting the foundations for their careers in law.

This year BTLawyers chose to support Friends with Dignity. Principals and staff donated to the Christmas Toy Drive and the firm made a significant cash donation directly to the Little Friends Scholarship (https://www.friendswithdignity.org.au/little-friends-scholarship/).

BTLawyers were also listed as a drop off location for other companies to donate to the Toy Drive. Thanks should also go out to Turks Legal who donated a large volume of items.
