If you are buying a franchise business then you must make sure that the contract is conditional upon, amongst other things:
1. Your satisfaction with the terms of the franchise agreement;
2. The franchisor agreeing to the sale.

Some franchise agreements require specific steps to be undertaken prior to completion for example that the franchisor has a first right of refusal to purchase the business or the franchise business.

Therefore, it is important to understand the terms of the franchise agreement and the Franchisor's requirements relating to the sale.
