Mullins Lawyers recently supported BeauGroup in securing tenure for the Gateway Marina project at Burnett Heads.

The tenure was procured via negotiation with a Government-owned corporation and includes over 70,000m² of wet area in the Burnett Heads Boat Harbour, along with more than 70,000m² of adjacent land.

This significant mixed-use development will deliver a marina alongside residential, retail and tourism offerings, helping transform the region’s waterfront into a major marine and lifestyle destination.

The project has been recently featured in The Urban Developer: https://www.theurbandeveloper.com/articles/simon-harvey-bundaberg-marina-burnett-heads-queensland

It’s fantastic to see this milestone achieved, and we’re pleased to have played a role in progressing this Queensland project.

A great atmosphere is part of what makes a venue memorable, but for Queensland licensed premises, noise must be carefully managed under the Liquor Act 2002 (Qld).

Complaints can lead to strict licence conditions and enforcement action, particularly where local amenity is affected.

This article, published in the Queensland Hotels Association's Review, features Partner, Curt Schatz’s detailed guidance on these obligations.
