Hi everyone,

Moot Club is back on tonight. Although this semester's competitions have concluded, we’ll dive into some Client Interview material and tackle a practice problem for those interested, noting that the grand final is on the 10th October at QUT!

Further, we will discuss the details for the Moot Evening, an official post is coming out this afternoon but just so you know now, it will be next Wednesday (15th October) at 6pm at the Moot Courts in C Block. This evening is a great opportunity for those who have competed in competitions throughout the year, and students interested in mooting. There will also be some awards being handed out.

Finally, I will quickly go over some information for external moots and points to consider as we get closer to the Summer break.

Hi everyone,

Excited to announce this year's Moot Evening!

Please join us on the 15th October at 6pm (location TBD) as we come together to celebrate the fantastic mooting achievements throughout the year. The evening will feature special guests from the ODPP, catering and a recap on what Moot Club has done in 2025!

Ticketing info will go out shortly (it is a free event, we just ask you RSVP). I just wanted to quickly announce this to give everyone as much notice as possible.

Importantly, the Client Interview final is coming up shortly so if you are free definitely consider attending to spectate. Regarding Moot Club for the rest of the year, we will continue to have sessions and seeing as we have covered all the competition topics I am happy to take suggestions!

If you go on the Google Drive you will find various problems for all the different competitions, please just email me letting me know what you would like to do. If there is interest, I have considered running a workshop targeted to external moots QUT runs as I know some of you will be trying out/participating in them over the summer.

Also considering that the QUT Staff v Student Comedy Debate is on tonight (7pm at Good Chat Comedy Club, refer to QUTLS page for tickets) There won't be a Moot Club session tonight, rather please email me what competitions you would like to do for next week. If you are unsure, just assume we will be doing the EcoFuture Client Interview in the Google Drive.

Next week we will discuss the upcoming Moot evening, external comps and run through some practices of topics you guys have requested (Client Interview if no one requests anything else).
