🎟️ Running a prize draw as part of your subscription model? The rules are about to change.

New gambling reform laws could catch subscription and membership businesses where the prize draw is doing the heavy lifting, not the product.

📅 Proposed to start 1 January 2027.

The big question: would your customers still pay if the prize disappeared? 👀

Victoria’s workplace NDA rules just changed — and it affects how your business can settle a sexual harassment complaint.

Since 1 July 2026, the request for an NDA has to come from the complainant, not the employer. Strict conditions apply, including a 21-day review period and plain language requirements.

Victoria is making working from home a legal right — and employers need to be ready 👀

From 1 September 2026, eligible Victorian employees could be entitled to work from home up to two days a week. That means your current policies may no longer be enough.

Here’s what employers should be across:

⚠️ The new laws shift the starting point — employees won’t need to ask, you’ll need to justify saying no
⚠️ National employers may need separate policies for Victorian staff
⚠️ Existing WFH policies may not reflect the new requirements
⚠️ Managers will need to document attendance decisions more carefully
