On Friday 13 February 2026, we acknowledged the 18th anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations.ย

We pause to remember, reflect, and honour the strength of our Elders, families and communities who carry stories of removal, loss, and survival.ย

This day serves as a reminder of the deep wounds caused by policies which affected children, language and cultures and reminds us all of the grief carried across generations.ย

The National Apology acknowledges the truth of what happened and reminds us all that healing comes from truth-telling, listening to the voices of survivors and walking together in respect and understanding.

On this anniversary, we honour the Stolen Generations, their courage and enduring love for culture, family and Country.ย

We stand with them in solidarity, and we recommit ourselves to truth, to healing, and to a future where no child is ever taken from their family again.

On the weekend Alex, CEO, attended the annual Multicultural Festival of SA. We love working at this festival every year with Community Legal Centres SA and all the other Community Legal Centreโ€™s and community services which attend to educate the community about what we do and the services available to them.

We have been servicing the community for 44 years, but the amount of people we meet daily who donโ€™t know about or have never heard of Community Legal Centreโ€™s astounds us - particularly given how busy we are! Thatโ€™s why attending events like this is critical.

Absolute bonus that Alex got to the Croatian stall for her yearly Cevapcici roll ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›

Yesterday we attended the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Family Law Pathways Roadshow event.

It was great to hear what Her Honor Judge Kelly and other wonderful speakers in attendance had to say. It was also great to hear from community members of their experiences in the Court system.

By chance, the event was held across from the beautiful Lake Bonney and this beautiful remembrance statue.

Thank you for having us.
