Behind every lawyer is a human being.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, lawyers from across Bendigo came together for More Than the Matter: Looking After the Lawyer Behind the Work - an interactive lunchtime event focused on wellbeing, connection and the realities of working in the legal profession.
We're proud of Associate Solicitor Shannon Chessells, who organised the event in her role as the Young Lawyer Representative for the Bendigo Law Association.
The event was expertly facilitated by Emily Knowles, Wellbeing Manager at the LIV, who led thoughtful and engaging discussions around mental health, resilience and the importance of supporting wellbeing within the profession.
The conversations were honest, insightful and a powerful reminder that looking after ourselves is just as important as looking after our clients.
It was great to see lawyers in all stages of their careers participating in important discussion for our legal community.
