After 12 years of dedication and hard work by Bek and Leigh, the hard decision was made to hand over the reins to new Central Victorian Mercantile owners Darren and Kylie!
Darren and Kylie are extremely experienced Field Agents who have been with CVM for many years, they’re excited, passionate, and extremely driven to provide a top-notch service and continue to grow the legacy that Leigh and Bek have left behind.

📣 CENTRAL VICTORIA BUSINESSES the Apiam Bendigo Cup is the biggest day on the Bendigo social calendar to get out and about, mingle, treat staff, catch up with friends and other business owners, and most importantly have a good time! The pandemic put a stop to crowds attending the Cup for the past two years, and business has been challenging.

Central Victorian Mercantile is seeking to employ a Bendigo based permanent full time Field Agent.

Does this describe you:
• Well organised with a ‘get up and go’ attitude

• A sharp attention to detail – things need to be right
• Enjoy driving and working varied hours day to day
• A good communicator and capable negotiator
• Good at using computers and writing reports
• Enjoy working from home when not on the road

Your duties:
The role involves speaking with debtors in person and by phone to carry out the required services. Due to the travel requirements and need to contact debtors outside normal business hours, working hours day to day will vary.
Specific job activities include:
‒ Process Serving – serving court documents on defendants and witnesses.
‒ Field Calls – attending debtor addresses to collect contact details and request payment of debts.
‒ Repossessions – attending debtor addresses to collect arrears or to secure the financier's asset.
‒ Evictions – attending debtor addresses to secure the property.
‒ Field audits – audits of required stock on hand at businesses.

Each Field Agent is assigned a geographical area and manages a portfolio of files requiring in person and telephone contact to complete the assigned work - a mix of Field Calls, Collections, Repossessions, Process Serving and other mercantile related activities. Generally 2 and sometimes 3 days are spent travelling within the assigned geographical area with reporting and client contact at other times while working from home.
