Australia already isn't building enough homes. So what happens when a housing tax reform is forecast to result in 35,000 fewer houses being constructed?
That's the issue Andrew Bragg zeroes in on in this clip, arguing that deliberately reducing housing supply is difficult to reconcile with a government trying to solve an affordability crisis.
The bigger question is whether the policy settings are actually encouraging the construction Australia needs—or creating another barrier to supply.
