Think your kids will automatically receive your super when you die? Not necessarily.

In a recent Federal Court case, a woman’s super went to her spouse — just as she likely intended — but her adult children were left out, and they weren’t happy.

Her old nomination and will told one story. Her children expected something else. The legal result? A long and painful challenge that ended in court.

If you’re in a blended family, your good intentions aren’t enough. Make them legally binding.

This week in Cyber Security Month, we're learning how to stay secure online, and learning more about phishing and scam emails. Phishing isn't just junk email, but a specific type of unwanted message that is trying to get you to disclose personal information. The most common ones are "Your account is locked, click here to reset your password", or similar. Is your email secure? That's the theme for this week of cyber security month. If you haven't already, take the next 5 minutes you were going to spend scrolling your feed, and instead use it to turn on two factor authentication and change your password to something that's hard to guess (I'm looking at you, "password1" users!)

If you receive payment details by email and you've never paid into that account before, CALL AND CHECK before you part with any cash. And if it looks suspicious, it probably is, so treat it accordingly.
