We are seeking witness or dashcam footage to a car accident to identify "Unit 1"
Date: 05.06.2026
Time: approximately 7.00pm
Location: approximately 422 Gap Creek Road Mount Cootha QLD 4066 (just past Gap Creek Reserve which would be on the right hand side)
Travel Direction of Unit 1 and Unit 2: Northerly
Description of Unit 1: Unit 1 is believed to be a white 4WD
Circumstances of Accident:
Unit 2 was riding a motorcycle along gap creek road when a 4wd (Unit 1) has overtaken him and slammed on their brakes for no reason. This has caused Unit 2 to run into the back of the vehicle. Unit 2 was knocked off his bike and was unable to follow the vehicle.
Prior to this the 4wd Unit 1 had tried multiple times to overtake but there were cars coming in the opposite direction.
Once the impact occurred, Unit 2 observed the 4wd Unit 1 to drive approximately 10 meters up the road and stop. The Vehicle Unit 1 then left the scene.
There were 2 vehicles that came past from the opposite direction that slowed but did not stop.
A vehicle travelling in the opposite direction then stopped. A young male person assisted Unit 2.
Ambulance, fire and police attended the scene.
