Since the 2026 Federal Budget, the investors I work with have been asking real questions about the 2027 CGT changes — and the most productive conversations have been the ones where they already have a ballpark figure in their head before they book an appointment.

Queensland rental laws quietly changed on 27 March 2026.

Three small updates to Form 22 — the kind that don't make headlines but quietly close gaps that cost landlords money.

→ Explicit applicant consent
→ Body corporate pet rules now have their own field
→ A proper way for applicants without rental history to prove themselves

Self-managing? Using the old form is subject to a maximum penalty of 20 penalty units under the RTRA Act.
