From 1 October 2026, Victorian residential property sale prices will need to be added to the new Property Price Statement within 7 days of the sale becoming unconditional, unless an exemption applies. The information will then be publicly available, free of charge, for at least 18 months.

Big changes are coming to Victorian property auctions from 1 October 2026.

From 1 October, sellers will be required to have their reserve price publicly disclosed at least 7 days before auction.

For buyers, this means more transparency before auction day and a clearer understanding of the seller’s expectations.
