This National Reconciliation Week 2026, CAAFLU is proud to stand All In for reconciliation. 💛

This year’s theme is a reminder that reconciliation is not something we watch from the sidelines. I t is something we all have a responsibility to actively be part of, every single day. Through collaboration, respect, listening and working together, we can create stronger communities and a better future for generations to come.
At CAAFLU, we believe real change happens when organisations, communities and individuals come together with a shared commitment to truth, healing and action.

Reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility, and together we can continue building a future grounded in understanding, equality and opportunity for all.

Today, we acknowledge the strength, resilience and stories of Stolen Generations Survivors.

National Sorry Day is a time for reflection, truth-telling and healing. It reminds us of the ongoing impacts of past government policies on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities, while also recognising the courage of those who continue to share their stories.

At CAAFLU, we stand alongside our communities, reflect on the past and walk side by side for our future.

Building Strong Futures Together 💛💫

Today we had the privilege of meeting with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress to learn more about their new Starting Strong Family Support (SSFS) program and explore how CAAFLU and Congress can work together to support stronger futures for our Aboriginal mums and babies.

These partnerships are what make us proud, coming together as community organisations to give our children the strongest start to life. ✨

The CAAFLU lawyers recently took part in DFSV training delivered by Dr Shay Brown for legal practitioners, focused on strengthening trauma informed responses to domestic, family and sexual violence.

The training explored how we can better communicate with clients and with men using trauma informed approaches, identify and respond to high risk behaviours, and support meaningful behavioural change.

It was an incredibly valuable session that reinforced the importance of safe, respectful and informed legal practice when working with people impacted by DFSV.
