It’s all happening in the Southwest .....

SAM NEILL, MICHAEL CATON FILMING IN MOUNT BARKER! 😮

Two high-profile actors have made their way to the Great Southern as filming begins on a new movie.

Sam Neill and Michael Caton are starring in 'Rams', which tells the story of two estranged brothers on adjoining sheep farms who haven't spoken to each other in 40 years.

The pair has to work together when a rare disease threatens their sheep flock.

Director Jeremy Sims says he's excited to tell the story in WA's Great Southern.

"This is a story about family, connected through land and community, and the relationships at the heart of those communities," he said.

"Regional WA is a vast and complex place, and the Great Southern has such a unique flavour that audiences deserve to see it on the big screen.

"It is of course a privilege to work again with Michael Caton, and Sam Neill is one of my favourite actors and a legend of world cinema. I can’t wait to bring them together and see what happens"

The Field of Light: Avenue of Honour will be an immersive art installation by Bruce Munro illuminating the Avenue of Honour at Mt Clarence in homage to the Anzacs who departed from Albany for the Great War.
